R.R.R. Box Office Collection Day 1: en route to breaking the record of Baahubali’s opening day?

Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR (Roudram Ranam Rudhiram) is gracing the cinema halls today, read on to know the screen counts, records, early reviews, and the estimated Day 1 box office collection.

The epic period action drama after showing amazing response in the advance ticket bookings, receiving a spectacular response at the cinema halls.

The film graces the cinemas in all five Indian languages Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam, and fetching rave responses from the critics as well as the audience.


Bollywood Hungama’s Taran Adarsh gave the film 4 out of 5 stars, called the film an amazing blend of adrenaline pumping moments, emotions, and patriotism, Mrichi 9 gave 3.5/5 stars, and PTC Punjabi 5/5 stars. Critics praised the performances of the main leads NTR and Ram Charan, visual effects, Rajamouli’s films’ backbone ’emotions’, cinematography and the soul-stirring dialogues.

RRR with 10,200+ screens became one of the widest releases ever in Indian cinema before this Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 had a record of 8.5k to 9k screens.

RRR releases in 6400 theatres in India with most 1400+ in AP/TG area alone, Overseas it releases in 3800 screens.

Let, you know the film which is made with a budget over Rs 500crs is very near to fetch the break even point. It has minted Rs 451 Cr against the break even point of Rs 453cr.

And now it seems like Rajamouli’s almost 5yrs of wait is worth waiting as the early reports of his films BO collections are astonishing. Many trade analysts are estimating that the film will gross around Rs 250 Crs worldwide on an opening day, breaking the record of Prabhas

starrer Baahubali2 which had grossed over Rs 100 Cr on the opening day.

It is also being said the film may collect Rs 80 Cr nett from the AP/TG region alone. It may earn less from the expected amount from the Hindi belt as we know that the Kashmir Files is rampaging at the box office there. So, the estimated figure would be around Rs 10-15 Cr from the North.

RRR could mint around Rs 25-30 crores from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and the Kerala Box office given the wide range of releases in these states.
